Bruce Ravid Tribute

My first night out as an A&R man was with Carter. He conveyed a few things right away, such as "Carter’s always late" and that a surprisingly small amount of my time in A&R would be spent actually working on music or working with my artists. He also told me right away that I needed to schedule a lunch with John. I only got to directly work with him once. We needed an edit of “Lady” by Little River Band. Glen Wheatley told me that they’d be happy with whatever we came up with. Of course I got John to do it. He was the legend, but he was completely open to my input. Over the decades, I’ve often thought about that day.
